Broken rhythm is the most distinctive quality of electronic music, the broken beat sets it apart from other musical genres. Makes it truly brutal and experimental. It may be better or it may be worse, but it won't be the same. It changes. Mutates into something new and unexpected. All the time.
To create the visual identity I've chosen the principle of spectrogram. Spectrogram is a visual representation of the spectrum of frequencies in a sound or other signal as they vary with time or some other variable. Spectrograms are sometimes called spectral waterfalls.
Forty foot diameter sphere with two super wide angle EPSON projectors placed inside the sphere was planned to mount over the international bussines center “Moscow-City” to celebrate the premiere of the latest Hobbit movie. Target audience was all the people with the maximum coverage possible.
In two days after press release the world’s major media like Washington Post, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Independent, Spiegel, USA Today and many others made publishings about the installation.
In spite of the positive public reaction the installation was cancelled. Sphere was labeled a "demonic symbol" by the Russian Orthodox Church. Over 1,500 people have signed the petition to Moscow authorities, asking for it to be banned. Over 5,000 people have signed the petition asking for it to be mounted.
Total coverage: over 100 million people in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Australia.
This visual identity is inspired by the movements of jazz musicians from the golden age of jazz and based on the visual power of black and white photography, provocative typography and a grid that emphasizes both rhythm and play. The result is a simple idea of changes and dedication to the famous jazz musicians.
Own Way is an art piece that you will see on the Playa at Burning Man 2015. Five stairs pointing to the sky are shaping the installation called Own Way.
The installation comprises five skyward variously oriented staircases. Stairs are a symbol of human striving for their own high goals.
Burners will be offered to walk them until the end which is unknown in the beginning of their way. Intersecting, the stairs form a pentagram, the most ancient and perhaps the most ambiguous symbol. The object will be one of the tallest at the festival. It will be constructed mostly of wood and 1 kilometer of duralight led wires.
Depending upon where you stand, it may be transparent or hidden by the unusual construction of the beams. The object is an optical illusion, like a mirage in the desert.
Festival Act or the shortened form F.act is a site-specific open air theatre festival of contemporary one act plays taking place in the Gorky Park organized by Moscow Culture Department.
With a tight budget it was important to create the bold identity, that stands for contemporary personality of festival itself and park environment. This was achieved by using “false” color schemes alongside a contemporary typography.
The young modern Moscow theatre focussing on russian plays in Broadway style. The task was to create a flexible identity due the wide and flexible repertoire. The idea was to develop a custom dynamic typeface which expresses certain emotions depends of target audience but stays recognizable no matter what.
Branding is based on typography and patterns with a dynamic logo and alternative typefaces allowing theatre to change the identity when it's needed. It has two levels of changes letter based and pattern based. Typeface is subdivided in two typologies the main is moderne style grotesk, the second tipologie based on the first one but with the Broadway style lights.

Night Out is the fictional series of night concerts of classical music. The idea is to show the inner light and expression of music. To create the identity I've chose the freeze light technique.
The light traces represent the idea of conductor’s hands movement in front of the music stand. These movements are essential and they tell the way music should be played.
The Pelican mascot for Schlumberger's injury prevention campaign. The idea of pelican comes from a story about ecological crisis. During the usage off DDT between the late 50’s and early 70’ population of brown pelicans from the West coast started to decrease to nearly extinction numbers. Number of Pelicans from the East Coast were brought to coexist with the endangered population of California in order to re-teach them how to survive. Basically, these newcomers restored in the local population their natural instinct.
When constructivism meets kawaii. Lucky Panda is an oriental food cafe in Moscow. The sources of inspiration was Chinese and Korean propaganda posters and modern japanese pop culture, so the identity is a co-existence of the cheering and yelling street vendors and modern typography and flat style of graphics.
