Moscow Musical Theatre is a modern theatre focusing on adaptations of Broadway plays. The task was to create a dynamic identity due to the wide and flexible repertoire of the theatre. The idea was to develop a custom flexible typeface which can express a wide range of emotions depending on a play and staying recognizable no matter what.
The whole branding is based on the typeface, patterns and alternate symbols, allowing the theatre to change when a play needs it. The typeface has two versions: a letter-based and a pattern-based. The first version of the typeface is a modern style grotesque type, the second is a dotted type reminiscent of Broadway style lights and based on the main type.
